Hobgood Academy Hobgood Academy opened in 1970 to provide a high quality, competitive education in a challenging environment with high morals and respect for individuals and our country. The college preparatory school serves approximately 300 students, Kindergarten through grade 12. The 15-acre campus has three classroom buildings, including a science lab, computer lab, music room, and library with Internet access.
The gymnasium and athletic complex are excellent facilities for athletic
events. The school offers students many opportunities to participate in sports
with JV and Varsity football, baseball, basketball, softball, volleyball,
cheerleading, and golf. Organized physical education and an up-to-date
playground area help elementary students learn to be active team players. Clubs and service organizations, such as Cultural Arts, Drama, Beta Club, Yearbook, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, offer students valuable experiences outside the classroom, Students in grades 7-12 are members of at least two extracurricular clubs. |
